No matter how late it’s shared, new music is always worth the wait. For those patient souls, this quarter was filled with music reminiscent of iconic past eras. Late 90’s emo and punk rock fans will have every reason to dramatically flip their bangs to songs like Annabel’s “Dog” or Origami Angel’s “Fruit Wine“. Fans of late 60’s surf rock will be doing their best Beach Boys impression singing along to songs like The Lemon Twigs “How Could I Love Her More?” or “Always On The Run” by The Burkharts. Those same fans might even find themselves adding onto their 60’s impressions by reminiscing about folk rock groups like The Mamas and the Papas through music like “Bloomed” by The Flamboyant Train. And if you don’t care to appreciate history, plenty of modern sounds like A.G. Cook’s “Lucifer“, James Blake’s “Thrown Around“, or Sabrina Carpenter’s smash hit “Espresso“. Happy listening!
