Let’s take this spring break hump day to say hello to the first band I ever saw live, shall we? Northern Ireland’s Two Door Cinema Club is promising a lot of new music in 2016, with this song coming off their most recent EP from 2013. Let’s face it people, partying for days on end isn’t as easy as it sounds. But not one wants to come home telling stories about how the slept until noon while in a tropical paradise.

As you may have guessed by now, I love band’s with a great backstory. Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, beats, synths) and Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals) met while in grammar school, but they met the third band member Kevin Baird (bass, synths, backing vocals) while Kevin was flirting with girls that the other two band members were friends with. The name of the band is derived from the Tudor Cinema in the UK which Sam Halliday mistakenly thought was called the “Two Door” cinema because of the fact that it had two doors at the front entrance. Classic move by guy friends to turn a minor mistake into an eternal joke by naming their band after a band member’s small lapse of stupidity.
